Wilson County Communities

Nestled between Old Hickory Lake and Percy Priest Lake at Wilson County’s western edge, Mt. Juliet is the county’s largest city. Known as “the city between the lakes”, Mt. Juliet is a fast-growing commercial hub within easy reach of Downtown Nashville. The real estate mix includes gorgeous contemporary single-family homes in a wide range of styles. Lebanon is the county seat and home of the annual Wilson County Fair. Home to the headquarters of Cracker Barrel and other corporate offices, this city offers a great balance of businesses and sprawling outdoor recreation areas. The historic small town of Watertown has a downtown area surrounding a town square built in the early 1900s. This close-knit community offers an affordable mix of traditional and contemporary homes. Gladeville is an unincorporated community with attractive single-family homes around 10 miles southeast of Mt. Juliet.

Dining, Entertainment & Shopping

The communities of Wilson County offer several downtown areas with a great selection of local businesses. In Mt. Juliet, The Goat is a hip bar and restaurant serving elevated pub grub and creative cocktails. The Goat also has a sand volleyball court, bar games, and live music. Calabria Pizzeria is another trendy Mt. Juliet business serving delicious brick-oven pizzas and calzones. Lebanon’s Snow White Drive-In is a delightfully old-school eatery where burgers, fries, and shakes are brought out for diners to enjoy in their automobiles. Town Square Social is one of many businesses concentrated around Lebanon’s historic town square. This innovative bar and restaurant offers classic bar eats and creative cocktails. Voodoo Smokehouse is an authentic Caribbean spot in Lebanon serving flavorful island cooking prepared using traditional family recipes.

Things to Do

Cedars of Lebanon State Park features gorgeous natural scenery and numerous activities and amenities. Visitors can explore ten miles of hiking trails with lots of wildlife and Wilson County’s unique concentration of natural cedar glades. The park also has one of the United States’ first disc golf courses. Just across the street from the state park’s entrance, 73-acre Sadie Ford Heritage Farm is a working farm steeped in traditional agricultural methods. This farm has many early-20th century buildings where you can learn about historical agricultural practices through immersive educational experiences. Breeden’s Orchard is an urban farm in Mt. Juliet where you can pick fresh seasonal fruits. Mt. Juliet’s Charlie Daniels Park is a beautiful green space with an amphitheater that hosts events such as outdoor movie screenings, Halloween and Christmas celebrations, and a summertime waterpark. Wilson County’s most anticipated annual event is the Wilson County Fair. This ten-day event features livestock shows, pageants, tractor pulls, demolition derbies, exotic animal exhibits, an antique car show, and many other family-friendly activities. The Capitol Theatre in Lebanon is a classic 1940s movie theater that hosts a variety of film screenings and live music performances. Other outdoor recreation spots and amenities include the Cedar City Trail Greenway and the boat rentals and launches of Mt. Juliet’s Cedar Creek Marina. Circle P Ranch in Mt. Juliet spans more than 100 acres with picturesque scenery and a country store serving an all-you-can-eat breakfast buffet. Watertown’s historic downtown area features numerous independent local businesses and movie screenings at the Stardust Drive-In Theatre.
